Rules
- All players begin with $100,000 in VIRTUAL funds.
- Players can invest in stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds listed on major U.S. exchanges.
- Trades mirror real-world prices with live market data.
- Unlimited trades are allowed (no virtual commission, no virtual taxes).
- Live leaderboard, showing current rankings based on portfolio value.
- Players portfolios and historical trades.
- No options trading, no margin trading, no short selling.
- Orders are executed with 20min delay, to match the delay of the simulator to the real time data.

Detailed steps to join the game
STEP 1 – Sign up
- Go to: www.investopedia.com/simulator/games
- Create an account
STEP 2 – Join the game
- In the menu, click “GAMES“
- In the sub-menu, click “Join Game“
- In the Game lookup form, enter – Stock trading competition YE24
STEP 3 – Use game password
- In the “Private game form“ enter nikpopg-YE24
STEP 4 – Start trading
- In the menu, click “TRADE“
STEP 5 – Trade a stock
- In the stocks menu:
- Enter the stock ticker
- Enter quantity
- Choose action (buy or sell)
- Choose order type
- Choose duration
- Preview Order
- Submit Order
STEP 6 – monitor your portfolio
- In the Menu, click on “PORTFOLIO”
